MICHAEL PARKER, SR. FUNERAL ATTENDANT AND DRIVER

Michael would volunteer at every funeral sevice that we would have and make sure that the florals for the family that we were servicing, would be placed in his truck to get them to the cemetery. After 30 years, he retired from working for St. James Parish and became a paid permanent worker for our firm in August of 2016. He has been a valuable asset to us, as he began to not just handle the florals, but would also help distribute programs to the guests and make sure the pall bearers would get their gloves. He has become a wonderful part of our team.

Michael is 62 years old and has been married to Charlean Johnson Parker for 36 years. He has three children. Two daughters, Miya and Mia Parker and a son, Michael Parker, Jr. He also has three grandchildren, Makai, Maligyah and Orien, Jr. The reside in Gramercy.

In his spare time Michael coaches the "Gramercy Tigers", where he is known as "Coach Cowboy" as everyone knows he is a Die-Hard "Cowboy" fan. He is a member of New Zion Christian Center in Gramercy, where he serves as an usher. His hobbies are few, as fishing, but his passion is "cuttting grass" for the community.

Michael's caring attitude and his willingness to reach out to help people, is why he has become a member of our firm and we are very happy to have him as member of our team.
